Course Syllabus
Before classes: Self-studying of basics (For details please refer to the math fundamentals course)

Session 1:
Introduction of the GMAT, the CAT methodology, GMAT strategic preparation plan, and use of the GMATWorkshop mistake log, GMAT Math I – GMATWorkshop Data sufficiency best practice; timing/pacing best practice and guessing strategies for time-pressure situations. Number properties; divisibility rules. GMATWorkshop Data sufficiency best practice.

Session 2:
Roots and powers, percentage and fractions, etc. All building-block concepts such as odds and evens, prime number, fractions, factorials and functions discussed with most representative examples.

Session 3:
Concepts and examples about Ratio, proportion and variation, statistics, mixture and alligations, speed, time and distance, races, etc.

Session 4:
An overview of critical concepts including necessary conditions, sufficient conditions and others. Different types of arguments and major/minor types of CR questions are discussed, such as typical methods to strengthen, weaken an argument, or find out the assumptions. Common logical fallacies and CR strategies are explained so that you can apply them in the Critical reasoning section and the analytical writing part.

Session 5:
Word problems and quadratic equations. Detailed topics include pipes, cisterns, work and time, simple/compound interest, profit/loss, linear/quadratic equations, etc.

Session 6:
Some difficult topics. Contents including Arithmetic/Geometric progressions, inequalities, sets, permutation and combinations, etc.

Session 7:
Reading Comprehension. Introduction to reading comprehension and question types and topics of reading comprehension passages. RC strategies, passage analysis best practice (diagramming and demo), detailed analysis of the seven most common reading comprehension question types: main idea questions, inference questions, and CR type questions etc.

Session 8:
GMAT Integrated Reasoning section covering all four types of questions required (i.e., TA, GI, MS, TP) and strategies to ace this new section on the GMAT.

Session 9:
Concepts, examples and strategies of Classic / Discrete / continuous / conditional probability. GMAT geometry fundamentals (Lines, angles, degrees, and triangles to quadrilaterals, circles etc.), geometry advanced questions involving constructing supplementary lines in complex figures. Solid geometry - mensuration, volume, and area, etc.

Session 10:
Sentence Correction. Basic concepts such as correctness and effectiveness, absolute phrases, clauses, pronouns, gerunds, and complex subjects. Eight important grammar rules introduced. Examples of rules: subject-verb agreement, comparisons, pronouns, modifiers, parallel construction and logical flaws etc.

Session 11:
GMAT verbal mock test and Q&A Session with instructor support
A verbal mock test distributed and questions answered by instructors

Session 12:
